Lip Fillers

Lip enhancement or lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure targeted at enhancing the lips. This treatment can add volume to the lips, fix asymmetries, decrease lip lines, define the border of the lip or cupids bow or hydrate the lips. Lip fillers are made from Hyaluronic acid (HA) which are naturally occurring in our body. There is a variety of lip fillers on the market. This ranges from thin, soft , structural and thick fillers. The product used during the treatment will depend on the patient’s lips, aesthetic goals, and medical history.

Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

Anti-wrinkle treatment is used to help reduce the appearance of fine lines on the face. Over time repetitive muscle movement, loss of collagen, sun exposure and external environmental factors can cause an increased appearance of lines. Anti-wrinkle injections are used to relax the muscles that create dynamic movement on the face. Leaving you looking and feeling refreshed. Treatments include Crow’s feet, Brow lift, Forehead, Frown lines, Bunny lines, Gummy smile, Smokers lines, Downturn mouth, Chin dimpling, Lip flip, Teeth clenching/grinding, excessive sweating, Hay fever, Jawline slimming.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a gel-like substance that are injected underneath the skin to replace volume loss , decrease lines and contour the face. The areas that can be treated with dermal fillers include lips, cheeks, Tear trough, mid face, jawline, chin, chin crease, smokers lines, deep lines, superficial lines, preauricular, marionettes, nasolabial folds and temples.

PRP Treatment

PRP is short for Platelet Rich Plasma, in which your blood is drawn to extract concentrated blood plasma. In this concentrated plasma, there are lots of components that help in the rejuvenation of your skin. Cosmetic specialists inject this activated PRP into your skin to rejuvenate the face and decrease signs of ageing . PRP stimulates collagen production that drives the rejuvenation of your facial tissues. So, you can expect the most amazing facial rejuvenation experience without any surgical procedures.

Skin Needling

Skin needling using the SkinPen® to smooth out fine lines , induce collagen and elastin production and reduce acne scars.

PDO Mono Threads

As we age our skin becomes thin and loses it’s skin laxity. PDO (Polydioxanone) mono threads can be used to tighten, thicken and rejuvenate the skin. PDO mono threads are free floating short threads that stimulate collagen synthesis. Common treatments include Décolletage, neck, under eyes (darkness or loose skin/eye bags), full face to improve texture and quality of skin.

  • The day before the injectables treatment, you should avoid drinking alcohol. Alcohol thins the blood and can cause bruising. Aspirin and other anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen and fish oil should be avoided for a week before your injection. Please consult your doctor before ceasing any prescribed medications.

It's important to note that the injection sites are prone to bruising and itchiness afterwards. While these are usually short-lived, bruising can last anywhere between 3-14 days. After your injectables treatment, avoid drinking alcohol and stay out of the sun or saunas, as these may result in additional bruising. In some cases, antihistamines can be taken to reduce swelling.

Avoid touching or rubbing the treatment area immediately after. Additionally avoid strenuous exercise, smoking and Alcoholic beverages at least two days after the procedure.

  • Depending on the type of injectable treatment you choose, the procedure can take anywhere from ten to sixty minutes. Multiple areas can take longer. The procedure tends to be fairly comfortable and minimal pain is usually felt. Additionally, many of these injectables come pre-loaded with a numbing agent to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. If pain is a concern please discuss this further with your practitioner.

While many injectables provide instant results, others may take several days to see results. Injectables containing filler may also cause swelling, redness, and tenderness. These effects will usually subside within two weeks. However, patients should allow at least one month for the dermal filler treatment to completely settle. Neurotoxin injections are fairly quick and due to the nature of the treatment will not require numbing. Bruising and pain will likely be minimal and are often relieved by over-the-counter medications.

  • Here at Next Aesthetics only TGA approved dermal fillers are used. Australian legislation prevents brand names from being mentioned on the website. You will need to ask your practitioner about the products that are going to be used in your procedure.

  • Cosmetic injectables vary in price and are based on how much each individual needs and the aesthetic goal. Please book a consultation to discuss this further or feel free to browse the price guide.

  • Dermal fillers are the most popular cosmetic injections for restoring volume, facial contouring and facial enhancements. Most dermal fillers last between three months and two years, depending on the product used and the area injected. Anti-wrinkle Injections last anywhere from 6 weeks to 4 months. Results and longevity of the injections depend on the person, muscles and treatment area.

  • If you have decided to undergo cosmetic injections, you must know that there are a number of risks involved. However, if you have adequate knowledge, cosmetic procedures can be relatively safe. To ensure that your procedure is safe, it is important to choose a qualified practitioner and undergo a consultation before you proceed with any treatment. The practitioner will assess your facial features, cosmetic history and aesthetic goals to determine whether you are suitable for the procedure. Similarly, you should choose a cosmetic clinic that offers a range of treatments for your face and body.
